I highly recommend Aurélie as a French tutor.  I began French lessons as an absolute beginner.  Aurélie has used a variety of different methods that have been very helpful and interesting in my learning the language.  As we’ve gotten to know each other this past year, she’s been able to identify strategies to help me learn more effectively.  It’s also been great to learn about the French culture as well through our lessons.  I have appreciated her patience, kindness, and encouragement throughout the learning process.  I continue to be very motivated to learn, and her approach to teaching makes it so easy to stay motivated.  She’s a wonderful teacher!

I studied with Aurélie for the past few months. She is an amazing teacher. Our first few lessons were on what I felt I needed most work in- as time went by Aurélie got to know me and she tailored my lessons according to my needs- any questions I had she always knew how to answer them. Aurélie was such a pleasure to work with! I hadn't studied or spoken French for years so I was fairly nervous about speaking, but she made me feel immediately at ease. Learning french as a beginner prior to taking classes with Aurélie was a nerve-wracking experience for me. My anxiety about speaking french with others was stagnating my learning progression. Aurelie was great! I travel a lot and usually pick up what I need, but French gave me a lot of trouble. I needed to improve my conversational skills for when I worked in the Paris studio, and Aurelie tailor-made a program for me. She was available over Skype when I wasn't in Paris, she moved at the pace I needed, and she crafted exercises that involved subject matter that interested me. Aurelie also helped me understand a lot of the cultural differences that I experienced working in France. I really enjoyed Aurélie’s class, her flexible tutoring schedule fits into young professionals and students schedule perfectly and she is always very well-prepared for the classes. I become more confident about speaking French under her encouragement and instructions. And her grammar teaching made my school’s French professor compliment me on my fast progression. Also she is super understanding and patient. There was one time due to my sudden change of time, she adjusted our meeting accordingly to Friday night and work with me over an hour on my French resume so that I can send it out more promptly to the recruiter. I thoroughly enjoy Aurélie´s lessons which are engaging and very different to the French classes I´ve had in the past. She makes them accessible and unique to your own interests and your objectives whilst making it a good challenge. I have never enjoyed grammar however, with Aurelie´s clear and patient approach I have a better understanding and feel more motivated to study it. Additionally, we have explored literature extracts, discussed current topics and looked at aspects of French culture. Time flies in her lessons and not only is she an inspiring teacher but a lovely person too which makes it a great atmosphere to learn in. I cannot recommend her enough! She makes you fall in love with the French language even more.

I love learning French with Aurelie. Her classes are fun, enjoyable and effective. She is a friendly professor that cares about her classes being good and about her students really learning and getting the most out of the courses. She is very clear with the grammar and formal stuff; but to make the classes dynamic, she complements the courses with fun videos, readings that are relevant for my current situation and conversations that make it more interesting and fun. Finally, I can say that she is very flexible and adapts the subjects and schedules to your needs. I really feel my French has improved a lot thanks to her. Overall a great class by a wonderful professor!

I had a great experience with Aurélie. She is very professional in her approach to teaching French as a second language. It took me some time to find the right books suitable for my style of learning and Aurélie was extremely accommodating during the process. After only ten classes I managed to finish two French grammar books with her help. We are now working with the Alter Ego+ (Methode de Français) series. These are the books that are used at the Alliance Française in Washington, DC and I am extremely happy with the way she leads each class. The material is engaging and her input is always helpful and gives me an inside look of French life and culture.  As a well travelled person, Aurelie brings a lot of personal experience to our weekly lessons. I highly recommend Aurelie as a French teacher.

I had just moved to France with very minimum french speaking skills when I stumbled onto Aurélie’s French class. The course was very customizable to what I needed to learn and she provided great tools to develop my skills (reading, grammar, oral, etc). She is very patient and will take the time to answer all of your questions. She also gave me great study techniques and a fun game to improve my French! I would absolutely recommend her course!

I cannot recommend Aurelie’s French lessons highly enough. The learning experience with her has been both, effective and fun! The subjects covered in the courses are customized to my learning needs and are balanced across grammar, reading, listening, etc. Additionally, she has made the courses dynamic and engaging with videos, stories and conversations related to subjects that she knows interest me. Finally, I can say that Aurelie is very patient, clear in her explanations and overall a great professor!

Aurélie makes French fun! She prepares stories, visuals, sound tracks and more for the lessons and orientates you towards learning French through doing things you naturally love to do anway. She listens to what you really need and gives you clear direction for self-study on the side so that you’re able to learn French fast. 10/10 would recommend!
